Position Summary
We are looking for an RF Designer to help us manage various design requisitions from all sorts of organizations in North America, spanning In-Building Wireless Solutions, Distributed Antenna Solutions, Wi-Fi, Public Safety solutions and beyond.
The RF Designer will be responsible for:
- Analyzing and reports of RF coverage inside public and private buildings
- RF propagation modeling with iBwave software
- Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues
- Submitting project deliverables and ensuring they adhere to quality standards
- Working closely with other Engineering and Operations team members related to in-building projects and provide support where required
- Optimizations and adjustments of new in-building systems to meet design criteria
- Data collection
- Troubleshooting of existing systems
- Updating and reporting project status
- Other tasks as required
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- RF Designer duties (as above) - 85%
- Research on new innovations/solutions to meet quality standards - 10%
- Project meetings as needed - 5%
Knowledge Requirements
- University degree with focus on electronics/RF engineering is preferred
- Ability to use basic office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook/email
- Strong working knowledge of iBwave platforms, PCTel IBFLEX platforms, Ekahau platforms
Special Skills/Training/Licenses or Certifications
- Bachelor/Master's degree in a related field (or applicable experience totaling 5 years or more as an RF Designer)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong teamwork focus
- Innovative and open-minded to new techniques and technologies
- Attitude-focused on team success and improving the customer experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Driven, results-oriented with the ability to complete tasks and achieve completion of deadlines
- Valid graduated driver's license (G minimum) in good standing
