Position Summary:

Linkwave is looking for an RF Technician to join our team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our cutting-edge communication systems.
You will work with advanced RF equipment, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to the innovation and excellence that drive our success.

Key Responsibilities

Analyzing Commercial Requirements

  • Performing site surveys
  • Assist in designing RF coverage solutions for in-building locations (Malls, Underground, Stores, public avenue, etc.)
  • Installation project management and technical oversight

Commissioning and Troubleshooting the Distributed Antenna System

  • Optimization, troubleshooting and adjustment of new in-building systems to meet design criteria
  • Perform checks and verifications to ensure optimal performance
  • Review and test every electronic component, cable connection, and signal pathway to ensure seamless transmission across the DAS network

Supporting Team Members

  • Support with providing valuable technical information for landlord design approval
  • Working closely with other Engineering and Operations team members related to in-building projects and provide support where required

Ad-hoc Tasks

  • Updating and reporting project status at weekly basis
  • Perform, record, collect and organize all data and documentation

To get to know you better, it would be great if your resume can demonstrate the following experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technologist program or equivalent
  • DAS System training/certification for: any of the DAS OEM platforms: TE, Mobile Access, SOLiD, CommScope.
  • Training/certification for CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE
  • Fundamental understanding of the physics behind RF wave propagation theory
  • Ability to apply logarithmic RF math concepts to perform power link budget calculations, and compare different products via their technical specifications
  • Ability to use basic office applications, including Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook/Email, Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent customer interface skills with a teamwork mentality
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Innovative and open minded to new techniques and technologies
  • Attitude-focused on team success and improving the customer experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed for work-related tasks
  • Possession of a valid G class driver’s license in good standing
  • iBwave training/experience is an asset
