Additionally to business responsibilities of his role of the CEO of Linkwave, Alex continues being involved in and/or overlooks many aspects of DAS projects: development, design, approvals, installation, commissioning and optimization. This is how define commitment to quality at Linkwave.
One of the notable assignments led by Alex on Linkwave’s behalf was RF design and project management of TD towers project as part of fulfillment of contract commitment for Bell Mobility – six high rise towers in downtown Toronto. In his role, Alex was responsible for RF design, commissioning and optimization of multi-technology, multi-sector, multi-carrier cellular systems totaling 24 HSPA and LTE sectors. During his assignment with Bell Mobility Alex has been involved as RF Lead in design and optimization aspects of in-building systems of Rogers Centre, Air Canada Centre, and Union Station among many others.
Prior to founding Linkwave Alex was a Lead of national In-building systems development at Wind Mobile Canada. He was responsible for design, projects coordination and management, budget planning, equipment and vendor selection, testing. During his contract with Wind Mobile Alex installed and commissioned numerous systems, including multiple sites in The Toronto Path (Metro Hall, Exchange Tower, Commerce Court, TD Centre)
Alex has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Ryerson University.
Castor Waye, P. Eng.
Castor has been in the Telecommunications industry for over 15 years.
Castor has extensive experience with Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) that provide coverage cellular coverage for indoor venues. He has been involved with all aspects of these large projects, including the design, commissioning, benchmarking, and project management. Major projects include: Calgary International Airport, Darlington Nuclear Power Plan, Square One Shopping Centre, and many others.
In addition to in-building cellular systems, Castor has worked in the design and implementation of public safety and private radio systems in tunnel and mine communications systems. These systems offered users 2-way radio communications, video, internet connectivity, and cellular services. Customers included: Major mining companies: Inco, Barrick Gold, BHP Billiton, Goldcorp, etc.; Transit Corporations: Madrid Metro, Mexico City Metro, etc.; Utilities Corporations: Ontario Hydro, National Grid PLC (UK), etc.
He is currently a partner at Linkwave Wireless Solutions, providing services to carriers and private businesses.
